The staff of the Cat Clinic of Cobb wishes to emphasize that there is no such thing as a free pet. Adoptors of a kitten should expect to spend from $250 to $400 during the first year of its life, including such costs as vaccinations, spaying or neutering, declawing, litterbox and supplies, and food. Maintenance costs for an adult cat average between $150 and $200 per year, and many cats are now living 20 years.  Please be sure that you are ready for such a responsibility before considering adoption. The life of a cat could depend on you!

Murray Lenox

Murray is a 5-6 month old kitten who sits on your shoulder and affectionately leans her head against yours.  Whether perching high or purring in the crook of your arm, Murray is a happy, gentle, patient kitten.  Her tail was broken near the base, so she has a zig-zag there; maybe that's why she wags it side-to-side like a dog!  She seldom meows, but when she does, her voice is comically raspy.  Her solid gray coat--the color of pencil lead shading into soft silver on muzzle and paws--is beautiful, as are her large golden-green eyes.  This little girl has looks and personality plus.  Murray has tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV, and was spayed, vaccinated, and dewormed at the Cat Clinic of Cobb.  The staff fell in love with her charming, affectionate personality.
If you can give Murray a loving, indoor home, call Linda Tucker at 770-565-0077.

Lenox is a feline leukemia positive neutered long haired male.  He was begging food from patrons at the Bucket Shop cafe in Atlanta and basically living under the dumpster there.  Considering his tough life as of late, he is super super sweet.  He is a little timid at first, but will let you pick him up and pet him. He loves to be petted and instantaneously purrs like crazy.  He will head
butt your hand and swirl around to be petted.  The pics do not do him justice.  He really is a beautiful cat.  Currently he is in good health according to the vet.  He has one crinkled ear - the vet says because of a previous ear infection that healed.  It appears he may have had a broken leg that healed, but he walks fine and runs and climbs fast as lightning.  He was defleaed and dewormed, vaccinated and had a bad tooth removed.  Because he is FeLv positive, he is living in a small office room by himself at my house.  Obviously this is better than his previous life, but less than ideal for him.  If you are interested in adopting Lenox, please email
Kate at tcollier@chubb.com.

This brother and sister pair were rescued from East Cobb Park on 7/3/10.  They are approximately 10 weeks old.  They were taken to the doctor on Monday, July 5th, and look to be in good physical health except for the fact that they tested positive for feline leukemia.  They are in need of foster care or a permanent home!

"We were dewormed and do not have fleas. We have been eating and drinking well and have lots of energy, running and jumping everywhere. We love people and have been great with the children who brought us home, letting them pet us and help feed us! We are extremely friendly and let everyone rub our tummie."

Please contact our current family via email at corinnehodges@comcast.net or by cell at 770 363-6380.

Coca Tubs

Momma Cass is a former pregnant stray female.  She has weaned her kittens and is looking for a permanant home.  She has been spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for feline leukemia, FIV, and heartworms.  She is shy at first, but loves to be petted.  For information call Stacey at 770-650-7695 or at the Cat Clinic of Cobb.

Tubs is a stray spayed female.  She is suspected of having been turned out of her previous home since she is extremely affectionate.  She was covered in fleas when she was found and has been defleaed and dewormed.  Call Candice at 678-283-7174 or at the Cat Clinic of Cobb for more information.
